By booking a place on any of these activities, each participant (or their parent/guardian) agrees to the following: Health & Safety I understand that all activities take place outdoors in natural environments which carry inherent risks, including but not limited to: rough or uneven terrain, variable weather conditions, insect bites, plants that may sting or irritate, and the use of tools such as knives for whittling. I acknowledge that the mountain day in the Cairngorms involves hiking in remote upland areas with changing weather, uneven and steep ground, and other risks associated with mountain environments. I acknowledge that bushcraft activities at Brodie Castle and Cawdor Forest may include the use of sharp tools, lighting and managing small fires, working with plants, and exploring woodland and forested areas. I agree to ensure that I (or my child) come suitably prepared with appropriate clothing, footwear, food, water and any additional kit requested by the organiser. I confirm that I (or my child) am fit and able to participate and will make the organiser aware of any relevant medical conditions or needs before the event. I accept that while all reasonable measures will be taken to ensure safety, participation is at my (or my child’s) own risk. Cancellation Policy If the organiser cancels an event due to severe weather, safety concerns or insufficient numbers, a full refund will be offered. If I (or my child) cancel more than 24 hours before the start of the event, a 50% refund will be provided. Cancellations within 24 hours of the event start time are non-refundable. No refund will be given for non-attendance on the day. Behaviour I understand that any participant behaving in a way that puts themselves, others or the environment at risk may be asked to leave the activity without refund.
