11th June - Home Education: Half Day Hike in Darnaway Forest
Pack your lunchbox and head to the woods! This is going to be our first half day hike in Darnaway forest where the group will explore the diverse ecosystems of the mixed woodland. We’ll learn about river ecology, salmon, tree and plant species and probably plenty of other stuff too.
Meeting near the Moray Estate Office we’ll walk a decent 5-8km loop through the woods and along the river. I know the area really well and it’s a beautiful and unique bit of woodland. Participants will need a snack and lunch with them. Parents are welcome to join too!
I’ll bring along hot water too for a wild tea en route.
Tickets are £20 but that covers a parent and one child (13+). An additional child can be added for £5. Please make sure you read the participant form too.
