Join me for "Through the Wilds: A Guided Foraging & Navigation Walk" at Logie Steading, a two-hour adventure through the beautiful Scottish countryside. This family-friendly event is perfect for those looking to learn outdoor skills while exploring the natural world. We'll be walking along the River Findhorn and through the surrounding woods, where I’ll guide you through identifying native plants and trees, while teaching you natural navigation and survival skills.

Throughout the walk, we’ll discuss foraging, discovering edible plants, and learning how to identify key species that grow in this part of Scotland. Along the way, I’ll introduce you to basic navigation techniques, showing you how to find your way in the wild using plants, trees, and the landscape itself. You’ll also hear about the fascinating natural history of the area, including the importance of the River Findhorn in the local ecosystem, as well as the flora and fauna that thrive here.

This walk is designed for families and is particularly ideal for those with children over 10 years old, though everyone is welcome to join. It’s a great opportunity for families to bond outdoors, explore nature, and learn essential survival skills together. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or a beginner, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Scotland’s unique ecosystems and leave with new skills and knowledge.

Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear, and bring a water bottle. The walk will go ahead in all weather conditions, so make sure you’re prepared for the elements.
