We’ll begin by exploring natural navigation, using stars, mosses, and plants to guide our way through the forest. Along the trail, we’ll delve into the biology of nocturnal animals, including owls and the elusive pine martens, learning how these incredible creatures thrive in the dark.

With UV torches, we’ll uncover the wonders of bioluminescence hidden in the landscape. And with a thermal scope, we’ll try to spot the wildlife that’s active while the world sleeps.

Craig Phadrig has a rich history, and we’ll also touch on its significance as a Pictish hillfort, immersing ourselves in stories of the past as we explore its surroundings.
