Wild Things
Environmental Education in Action
I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Wild Things for the last five years. This incredible charity works with every group and community you can think of in north east Scotland. They aim to bring nature education to as wider audience as possible and to ensure that everyone has the ability to get out and enjoy nature in whatever way they can.
I’ve made a series of films for the charity and provided photography and promotional content for them during my time in Scotland. This has culminated in a large celebratory film for them showcasing their Silver Saplings Project.
Wild Things' Silver Saplings project pioneers a wide variety of charitable programmes that combine health and wellbeing and habitat restoration for the mutual benefit of both community and the natural environment. After four years, our flagship programme is coming to an end, but many of the benefits to both community and environment will persist for years to come. This video celebrates the many and varied impacts of Wild Things' charitable work and we would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the funders, supporters, volunteers and partner organisations who made the project possible. We would also like to thank everyone who took part in our programmes and we hope to see you again soon!
Wild Things believes everyone should be able to experience nature no matter their age or ability. Our Care Home programme brings nature experiences to people in Care Homes in Moray, Inverness and Aberdeenshire. This programme engages residents bringing new experiences and also rekindling memories and experiences.
